For a while, Twitter geocoded some tweets people were sending by adding a GPS coordinate. We collected these tweets and calculated whether more positive or negative words were being sent from tweets in parks, or tweets outside of parks. (No surprises – tweets were more positive when sent from a park than from an urban area.) I also collected tweets about trees and particular species. The raw data files are available below:
